Boeing's Starliner Set for Second Launch Attempt after Failed Mission
Mission to Carry First Astronauts to ISS for NASA
Boeing is gearing up for the second launch attempt of its Starliner spacecraft, a critical test flight that will carry astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS) for the first time. The launch is scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, at 1:55 p.m. Eastern time from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
Astronauts Aboard for Test Flight
NASA astronauts Barry Wilmore and Sunita Williams will be aboard the Starliner capsule for the test flight. The mission, known as the Boeing Crew Flight Test (CFT), will evaluate the spacecraft's systems and its ability to safely transport astronauts to and from the ISS.
