Godzilla Minus One is set in a world where Godzilla has been defeated and the remnants of its body are being used as a source of energy. However, as the years pass, Godzilla's cells begin to regenerate and a new Godzilla is born.

The film stars Masami Nagasawa, Shota Sometani, and Ken Watanabe. It is directed by Takashi Yamazaki, who also directed the live-action Attack on Titan films.
